About Owens Chiropractic & Wellness
Dr. Owens received her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas in 1998. After working as a Social Worker for almost four years, she attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri. She earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2006, and later moved to and practiced in both Virginia and Missouri. In 2011 Dr. Owens transferred to South Florida where she has since been practicing.
A decision to follow her true calling led Dr. Owens to attend Cleveland Chiropractic College of Kansas City, Missouri where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2006. Her career in South Florida began in 2011 when she moved to South Florida with her two young children and dog in tow. She is a highly trained, board certified, Florida licensed chiropractic physician, utilizing a variety of comprehensive services and techniques, which allow her to treat diverse conditions and populations. She is proficient in numerous techniques including Diversified, Activator, Thompson Drop, SOT, and Cox Flexion, allowing her to deliver a gentle, yet effective, and personalized adjustment to her patients.
Dr. Owens is trained and endorsed by Chiropractic Hand and Foot Clinics of America (CHFA).
She presents with genuine compassion and integrity, and understands that your health concerns extend beyond normal routine medical care. She is considered by many a healer and an educator. Her approach is to treat patients as a whole entity while teaching them how to incorporate change into their daily lives, with goals of continued wellness, longevity, and optimal health.
